Unit Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operative and non-operative care for patients requiring total joint replacement, including primary and revision procedures.
  • Participate in the orthopaedic trauma call schedule and manage Level I musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with trauma, sports medicine, and other orthopaedic subspecialties to provide comprehensive care.
  • Engage in resident and fellow education through Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

 

 

 

Short Description

Cooper University Health Care, South Jersey’s only Level I Trauma Center and leading academic health system, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Joint Replacement Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our dynamic and expanding Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The ideal candidate will specialize in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and be competent and willing to participate in the care of orthopaedic trauma and Level I injuries, consistent with our designation as a regional trauma leader.

License/Certification Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited orthopaedic surgery residency.
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Joint Replacement Surgery.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to care for orthopaedic trauma patients in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
  • Academic interest and commitment to teaching and scholarly activity preferred.
