Providing triage, resuscitation, diagnoses for trauma patients and emergency general surgery patients, as well as preventing secondary complications. This includes care of the patient from arrival to discharge, including surgeries and critical care. Please see the job description for Trauma Critical Care Intensivist.
Comply with all of the requirements necessary to maintain ACS trauma center certification.
Provide professional medical services in a compassionate and caring manner to patients. Follow the care of patients in other care settings, as appropriate or refer patient to appropriate physicians for continuity of care. Keep and maintain appropriate records relating to professional services rendered. Preparing and attending to all necessary and appropriate reports, claims, billing and correspondence, as necessary and in a timely fashion.
