The candidate will be a member of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services under the leadership of Dr. Roland Schwarting. This growing department currently employs 32 pathologists.
Cooper University Health Care has an exciting opportunity for a pathologist interested in Cellular Therapy, Clinical Apheresis and Transfusion Medicine. The qualified candidate will participate in developing a Cellular Therapy laboratory to support the growing Bone Marrow Transplant Program. In addition, the candidate will oversee the Clinical Apheresis Service, eventually developing an insourced program for Cooper.
MD or DO degree with Pathology and Blood Bank Medicine specialty. Subspecialty in apheresis is a plus.
Prior experience with cellular therapy laboratory operations, apheresis and associated regulatory requirements required.
The candidate must be board-certified by the American Board of Pathology as a Clinical Pathologist with specialty board certification in Transfusion Medicine.
At least 5 years of leadership experience
